This week's theme is Silver and/or Gold. I find it ironic that in my taste in jewelry, I always pick yellow or rose gold over white gold or silver. But, I've noticed that when I craft, I tend to choose silver over gold, be it paper, embellishments, ink, etc.
When I was thinking of what I wanted to do for this project, I decided to just make two cards. One in gold and one in silver. I actually like them both! It has now made me rethink my use of gold on projects :)
Here are the cards I made. I'm not sure why the silver card is looking more pinkish at the bottom. It must have been from the reflection of what I was wearing when I took this picture!
Here is a better picture of the silver card. I used my Detailed Floral Thinlits (one of the best purchases ever!!!) to die cut a piece of Silver Foil Sheet. I adhered it to a piece of Basic Black cardstock card base. I wrapped a piece of the new Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon. I finished it off with a couple Silver Pearls.
This is what the same card looks like using Gold Foil Sheet. I used the same products listed above, except a couple of Gold Pearls. It's just a slightly different look.

Emoji Inspired
Happy weekend!
This week's theme is inspired by emojis! Fun theme, but so hard! I knew exactly which emoji I wanted to try to create, but it was so much harder than I thought it would be. I really don't like my card this week, but I had to try...
I've had pet house rabbits for 26 years. I just love them. And, the breed in this emoji is my favorite. 5 of the 6 bunnies we've had have been Dutches. This is the image I was going for (and failed!) LOL

You can find this image on cell phones, but I copied the image above from this site here.
I kept thinking about how I'm always texting and use this little face. So, I wanted to create a card that looked like cell phone and a text message. I had to cheat a little in that I didn't have all current things to create this card, so I took some help from Word by creating the sentiment in the bubble and printing that on White cardstock. I also used some Stickles for the eyes and filled in the nose. I did use the new SU! bunny punch for the face though! I punched it out of Basic Gray and White cardstock. I refuse to do the buck teeth because bunnies don't have buck teeth hanging out. But, I just realized I totally forgot the whiskers! Oh well - I tried!
I layered everything on a piece of Lovely Lipstick for the base of the card. I love this color so much!!!
OK - that's it! Enough said!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Pinterest Inspired
The SIS theme this week is "Pinterest Inspired". I love this idea and knew instantly what I'd be looking for. I love looking at tattoos. I think they are beautiful. I started looking at them on Pinterest and also looking at my new stamp sets. I settled on this Pin here:
I grabbed my new Serene Garden stamp set and matching dies. I stamped the images on a piece of watercolor paper, then grabbed my aqua painter and ink pads (Lovely Lipstick, Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover - leaves, and Garden Green - stems). I had a heck of a time using the aqua painter - yes, I do not like that thing! I gave up after making a huge mess and grabbed my beloved blender pen :) I used my blender pen to pick up the ink and then started coloring in the images. I used the Pineapple Punch marker to color the beak. Once done, I used the flower die to die cut them. I popped them up using dimensionals. I adhered the watercolor paper to a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and adhered that to a Basic Black cardstock card.
I'm happy with the way this turned out.

New In Colors
I love when SU! comes out with new In Colors! I love to see what is trending for the year. SU! did not disappoint this year. These colors are gorgeous!!!! I love them, don't you?
I just attended a scrap and stamp convention last week and water coloring is definitely a hot trend right now. So, I decided to use my new stamp set, some versa mark, and my new ink pads to create this card.
First, I stamped the sentiment onto watercolor paper using Versamark. I then used clear embossing powder. I then used a regular paint brush and some water to pick up color from the ink pad and brushed on some of each color. I then trimmed the water color paper down, layered it on the cardstocks, adhered a ribbon, and was done!
I really like the simplicity of this card and it was done in no time at all! I'll definitely be doing more of these with the other sentiments from this set :)

Masculine Card
TGIF! It's always nice to have some masculine cards on hand, right? So, I was happy to create a masculine birthday card I know I'll need soon.
Here's my card:

I loved the Wood Textures DSP stack as soon as I saw it. But, I've yet to use it! Crazy, I know!!! I decided to keep it simple, so I cut each piece of DSP and adhered to a piece of Basic Black cardstock. I then stamped the shapes from the Label Me Pretty set and the sentiment from the Thoughtful Banners set. I punched it out using the Pretty Label punch. I just love the Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon and the Copper Trim. I decided they wouldn't be too girly and would look good with these colors. So, I tied them together and adhered the punched, stamped piece. Done! This was a fast and easy card - love that!

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Early Mother's Day to all of the mothers, aunts, grandmothers, etc. out there!
Ma, if you are seeing this early, act excited when you get this card in the mail ;) 💙 U!
Here is the card I made:

I used my Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, and Sweet Sugarplum markers and colored in the flower stamp from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set. I then cut out each flower (this makes me crazy!!! I love to color, but do not like cutting out images - thank goodness for dies!) I digress...sorry about that!
I stamped the Whisper White cardstock piece with the leaf stamp using Emerald Envy. I stamped the sentiment (from Thoughtful Banners set) using Dapper Denim ink. I adhered the flowers using dimensionals and added some Wink of Stella in the middle of each flower to give it a little sparkle. To finish off the card and to add even more sparkle, I added some Powder Pink shimmer ribbon.

Thanks for looking and again, Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

Birthday Cards
Can you ever have enough birthday cards on hand? I don't think so ;) So, I was happy that this week's Sisters In Stamping theme is "Birthday Cards". I have several birthdays coming up, so this was a great theme for me :)
Here is the card I made for one of my bird loving friends:

I used the Feathery Friends hostess stamp set. I love this set because I love birds and I love to color! I colored in the stamped images using my SU! markers. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. I used the Banner Triple punch and adhered the piece with a little wave using some dimensionals. I used my circle thinlets for the one bird. I finished off the card using some Jewel Basic Rhinestones.
Check out the other birthday cards here.
