My Favorite Time of Year...

Spring is my favorite time of year! There are bunnies everywhere you look and that makes me happy. I have had pet bunnies for the last 17 years and just love them. So, I call this bunny season. I decided to make some Easter cards this weekend with some new stamps I recently bought. I need to make some more, but here are some to start. Happy Spring, everyone!

Desk Set for David

My friend, David Wiley, was in Lancaster, PA and saw a pack of DCWV paper at an unbelievable price. He knew I'd love it and picked it up for me (thank you David!). I did love it and asked him to pick out a paper and I'd make him something for his desk. He's one of our designers at Natural History *and* he grew up in Lynchburg, VA too! I know - what are the chances, huh???? Anyway, this is what I came up with - a covered cork board, Post-it pad, and pen in the paper he selected. TFL!

Rub On Candy Dish

I bought a little candy dish and applied rub ons all the way around it. It was kind of hard since it wasn't a flat surface! It didn't photograph well, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out in the end. TFL!

Rub On Frame

I bought this frame and thought I'd use my Rub Ons on both the matt and the frame - I loved the way it turned out. Hope you do too!

Gift From Kitty

This little kitty set made me laugh when I saw it. The original has a little scribbly ball under the kitty. I decided to ball up some fiber yarn and make it really look like a gift from one of my kitties! I have so many cat friends with birthdays coming up, I decided to make several in different patterns. I hope this little, naughty kitty makes you smile too :)

Get Well, Heather!

I needed a Get Well card, so pulled out my old Nice and Easy Notes set. I had fun coloring in the hearts and then used Crystal Effects on the bottle. I went over the words with my Spica glitter clear pen, but I don't think you can really see it in the picture. Anyway, Heather, hope you feel better and heal soon!

Urban Garden Purses

Well, I decided to stop hoarding so much stuff and actually use some of it! I've been holding on to these wooden purse/boxes for several years. I posted one that I altered a couple weeks/days??? ago in my favorite Raspberry Tart DSP. I covered the remaining 5 that I had with the SAB DSP and the Urban Garden DSP. I finished the purses yesterday and decided to make the cards to go in them today. Well, I only got the Urban Garden cards done. I can't believe it takes me so long! Where does the time go when you are creating and having fun? I'm posting pictures of all of the purses, the Urban Garden purses outside, inside, set of cards, and how the cards will look inside. The SAB DSP is kind of bland, so I think I'll stamp some images and somehow try to spruce up the outside - that's for another day though! Now, I think it is time to go eat some chicken fiesta soup and homemade bread :) Stay warm everyone!

Aloha!

Beverly (Hi!) inspired me to break out my sand that I had bought at the scrapbook convention last year. I also wanted to try my hand at Copic blending. Well, neither were easy! The sand is very cool stuff, but hard to spread! I hope the sandman has come up with a better way to use it. I don't feel I have the Copic blending down either. But, I love the colors and anything Hawaiian makes me happy :) I wish I were enjoying the view on this card now!

Girls' Night Invitations

I'm hosting a Girls' Night in March and decided to use my new Inky Antics stamp to set the tone of decadence and fun! I used the wild wasabi scored paper as the base, DCWV paper from their new Sweets package, chocolate chip and blush blossom cardstock. I colored the image with my SU! markers and used the chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon and tab punch. I added a little crystal heart I bought in Japan.
She makes me smile in anticipation - we are going to watch movies, drink cocktails, eat international food, and gorge on chocolates :) Doesn't that sound like fun?
