Copic Class Cards

Today, Debbie W., my mom, and I took a Copic marker class at Angela's Happy Stamper. It was a lot of fun and I learned so much! Here are the cards we made. If you can visit Angela's for a class, I'd highly recommend it. Our instructor was wonderful. I loved my Copics before, but love them even more now! We learned how to blend, use the blender marker to erase mistakes, and other helpful tips!

Valentine from Sarah

Thank you, Sarah, for the beautiful Valentine card (and kiwi ribbon)! Your use of our favorite Raspberry Tart DSP is awesome. There are so many elements to this card that I love: the ribbon, the vanilla hph, the rub-on, and my favorite color pink. I hope you had a great Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day Card

I realized that Saturday is Valentine's Day. So, I made this card for my husband. It is way too hard to make a masculine Valentine's Day card! I wish you all a very happy Valentine's Day!

Paper: Riding Hood Red and Candy Lane DSP

Stamps: Birds from Love You Much stamp set, Happy Valentine's Day stamp from Michael's $1 stamps

Ink: Black StazOn

Accessories: Buttons from Button Bouqet, Linen Thread, 1 1/4" Pink Pirouette ribbon, Riding Hood Red tafetta ribbon, Copic markers, and Marvy scallop oval punches

Another Altered Cube

Here is another note cube I altered for the nieces. I'll let them pick. I had a harder time with this one as it didn't have a place to hold the pencil and had a cut-out in the front. So, I made a pencil holder with cardboard and covered it with the same paper. I don't think you can see them, but I put a butterfly gem on the end of the pencil and on the pencil holder. I also used some diamond shaped gems to hold the ribbons in place.

Paper: Green Galore and DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies
Ink: Pink StazOn
Stamp: Butterfly by Purple Daisy Designs
Accessories: Paper Shapers Butterfly Punch, various ribbons, and Darice self stick gems (Dragonfly/Butterfly pack)

Altered Note Cube

I received a note cube for Christmas. I thought it would be cute to alter it and a pencil. I bought this plain pencil at Michael's; it has no eraser on the end. I don't think the picture shows it clearly, but I put a flower gem where the eraser would normally be, added ribbons, and added more flower gems under the ribbons to keep them from sliding. I kept the paper section pretty simple. It looks like something my nieces would like. I think I'll alter another one and give them both one!

Paper: Green Galore, White, and DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies

Ink: Green Galore
Stamp Set: Big Flowers

Accessories: 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Punch, various ribbons, and Darice self stick gems (Flower pack)

Happy Birthday, Maggie!

I recently made this card for Beverly's birthday (Hi Beverly!). I liked it and decided to make a couple more for other friends that I thought would enjoy it. Today is my friend Margaret's birthday - Happy Birthday Margaret!

Secret Sister Gifts

First, I'd like to thank Allison for being my first blog follower - woohoo and thanks! I also want to thank Beverly and Nancy for their encouragement and support for starting a blog - super thanks to you both!

This past summer, we had an SU Little Debbies meeting. This is the name of my upline's group (my upline happens to be my sister - holla Debbie!). We each bring a secret sister gift and I received a lunch pail, a mini wooden clipboard, and a wooden box (shout out to Sherri!). I had so much fun altering them as this has become my passion :) I've yet to alter the wooden box as it has stumped me creatively. I haven't given up as it sits in sight in my craft room! I'll post when I finally figure it out.
