I made this card for a friend who recently celebrated her birthday. She has two long-haired orange tabbies that she adores. I don't know if they spit up hairballs, but this image just cracks me up! I thought she'd get a kick out of it.
Unfortunately, I forgot to turn off the date-time stamp, so you can't really read the sentiment. It says, "A fluffy little gift from kitty."
I balled up some multicolored yarn and adhered where the stamped image of a hairball was. I also used some Crystal Effects on the cat after I colored it in.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Another Christmas Card - Check!
I'm a little behind in making one Christmas card design a month this year, but I did manage to create some this month! I just love this little reindeer and decided to create a card around him.
Isn't he cute? I colored him in using my metallic ballpoint pens. You can't really tell in the picture, but they give off a nice "glow". I then decided to frame him out so pulled out some framelits and decided on this one. I think it's a good size to frame him and make him really stand out. I felt I needed one more thing, so broke out my gold paper and the Merry framelit and ran it through the Big Shot. It was a little difficult to get the word out without ripping it, but totally worth it!
I used several different designer papers and color combos. I'm not sure which I like better. I just love that little reindeer - he makes me smile :)

March Challenge Cards - Lots to Show!
We have a lot of cards to show you for the March challenge! I'm so happy that two Debbies joined us this month - thank you Debbie N. and Debbie W.!
The challenge this month was to use embossing folders. That's it - plain and simple - no other rules - just go wild!
First up, we have Regina's gorgeous card. Isn't this beautiful? I love the way she created a sun ray effect from the embossed pieces under the focal image. If you look closely, you can see she used a lot of folders! I count at least 7 different folders. I also love the colors she used - very elegant and beautiful. Great job, Regina! To see more on this card and to see other gorgeous creations by Regina, please visit her blog here.
Next up is Michelle's card. Isn't this striking? The bold colors against the white really speaks to me! I love this card so much. I think Michelle did an amazing job by coloring her embossing folders with ink and then running her paper through.
Here's another shot of the card so you can see how she cleverly cut the outside piece slightly shorter so that the sentiment stands out when the card is closed or opened!
Here's a shot of the inside. Michelle colored in the word "cake" to match the bold colors used all over the card - fantastic!!!
Next up is my sister's beautiful card! Debbie used several embossing folders on this card to create a soft and delicate background. I love that the embossed background is subtle, letting the flower stand out and be the main focus! It gives just the right amount of texture and pop to this fabulous card. To read more about this card and to see other amazing creations by Debbie, please visit her blog here.
This next card is by Debbie W! She made such a cute card, didn't she? I love the colors and different layers. The embossed background is adorable and really gives this card a cute and fun feel. It just makes me happy! The owl looks like it is looking in a mirror, don't you think - it's just too cute! I really like this color combo too :)
And finally, here is my card. I really love Pistachio Pudding - it reminds me of my color in middle school :) It was my signature color! Back then, we called it mint ;) Anyway, I knew I wanted to use only this color to create a totally embossed card. I started pulling out embossing folders and shapes and got to work layering. I think I ended up using 7 different embossing folders. I love that you can see each layer and the embossing gave the card more depth. I think the pearls were just the right embellishment to finish off this card, if I do say so myself ;)
Well, thanks to everyone for making cards this month. It was a fun challenge and I really enjoyed seeing all the different creations!
Please join us next month as we tackle another challenge! Have a great day!

Happy 50th Anniversary Mom and Dad!
Happy 50, Mom and Dad! I can't believe it has been 50 years. I'm sure you can't either!
Well, I know 50 is the golden year, so I was trying to think of what I could stamp or use to make a unique card. I saw a scrap of this beautiful washi paper I received in one of my orders and decided to incorporate it into the card.
I don't think you can tell in this picture, but I punched out the mini banners using brushed gold card stock. I then used my Big Shot and some sizzlets for the word and numbers. I didn't want to add anything more because I think it could become overworked quickly. So, I decided to leave it as it is - I know the sentiment runs up the card, but I kinda like that!
Thanks for looking and I wish everyone a beautiful day!

Happy Girl's Day!
Happy Girl's Day!
In honor of the day, I thought I'd make a little card with my Dandelion Design kokeshi doll stamp. Aren't they cute? I used the die cut sentiment that Jenny from Sister Stamps sent me - it matches the origami paper so well - yay!
I love the colors for this card - so girly and cute, right? The flowers and butterflies just fit perfectly with their kimonos too!
So, for all you girls out there - Happy Girl's Day! I hope it is wonderful, special, fun, and filled with family and friends.
