I'm behind in my weekend challenges, but trying to catch up! I wanted to play along with K. Werner's color inspiration challenge (Combo No 1). It was fun, but kind of overwhelming with so many colors to use! I also love this design sketch (The Kitchen Sink's Challenge #25) I loved it so much, I used it twice this weekend!
I pulled my cardstock and then pulled ribbons that could be used. I can't tell you how many times I changed my mind on this card! I wanted to use my favorite Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon (one of my all time favorite ribbons), but it just wouldn't work for this! It is actually why I chose this color challenge - I saw Kiwi Kiss and thought of my beloved ribbon immediately!
My challenge then became the stamp image - what to use? I've been wanting to use my Friends Are Like Flowers set because I love the images in this set. But, the main stamp is pretty big, so it hasn't worked out in other designs. However, it was perfect for this one! I mean, the water can needs to be gray, right? Right! ;)
I used markers to color in the image. For the Kiwi Kiss leaves, I used my ink pad and a blender pen.
So, this is what I ended up with. I think it is a fun friend card. Thanks for looking and have a great week!
Stamps: A Little Birthday and Friends Are Like Flowers

I love this card!!! I love the color combo & the way you did your buttons. TFS....
