Clean and Simple - Great Sketches!

I love the Clean and Simple Fall To Layout sketches. I used this week's (#84) for our group's weekend challenge. I decided to use the Pink Flamingo DSP. There is one sheet in the package that has big, beautiful flowers. I cut it out and it was the start of my card. I then found coordinating paper from the package and worked around the colors.

It always amazes me that I can use the DSP and not even stamp on a card! I love that...

I used Real Red, Cameo Coral, and Chocolate Chip. The buttons are from the Playground and Latte packages. I'm still really in love with the satin ribbon too. It just adds a little extra umph to the card.

I hope you get a chance to stamp today! Have a good one :)

A Rose Is Not Just A Rose

Today, my sister (our group's upline) posted the sketch and color challenges for us. We decided to do these each week. She picked the Clean and Simple Fall to Layout sketch (#78) and the ColourQ color challenge (#19).

Well, I was all set and started working when I realized I was using the wrong Rose color! I was using Rose Red instead of Regal Rose - they are very different! I thought they should be similar since "rose" is in both names, but not so! I had to start all over :) I'll post the other card tomorrow. Here is my card for these challenges.

Thanks for looking!

Stamps: Happy Moments
Ink: Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose
Paper: Regal Rose, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, and Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, Chocolate Chip Buttons, Scallop punches, Round punch, Modern Label Punch, and Rhinestones from the Eggcellent Eggs Kit

Challenges - I like 'em!

I've been trying to participate in more challenges. My upline (and sister!) decided to post a sketch challenge on Saturdays to her group and anyone that wants to participate can. I have been trying to find some time to stamp and tonight was it! Here is my card for the Clean and Simple Fall to Layout Sketch #76. FUN and no stamping! That's why I love designer papers. Not only does it dictate the colors you use, but some have such fun and bold patterns, you don't need to stamp! Thanks for looking.

Paper: Shades of Spring DSP, Pretty In Pink, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Orhid Opulence, and Certainly Celery

Accessories: Heart to Heart punch, Certainly Celery Ribbon, and Dimensionals
