CASEd card for Valentine's Day

I saw this card by Tammy Fite and loved it. I decided to make some Valentine's Day cards this year. So, I changed up this card a little with a different flower and different saying. It was really fun making these because depending on where you cut the DSP, the card ended up a little different each time. See? This paper is just so beautiful!

Have a great day and a great weekend! TFL!

Valentine Ladybug Treat Holder

I seem to find a lot of inspiration from the Current catalog! I saw these ladybug treat holders in the catalog and decided I could duplicate it using my Big Shot and Punches! So, that's what I did. I took Real Red and Basic Black cardstock and went to work.

I used the Basket & Blooms die for the holder and cut off the handles. I then punched out a big heart (to cover the cut handle section) and circle (for face). I then punched out little hearts using the new little punch and the Heart to Heart punch. I adhered with the glue stick. For the antenae, I used an insect Sizzlit, cut them off for this, and adhered. I had some googlie eyes, so added them. I used the Word Window punch for the legs. I just cut them on one end to mimic the ones from the catalog. I used the white gel pen to make the smile, and my little ladybug was done! I think she's pretty cute and would look great filled with Valentine M&Ms :)
Thanks for looking and have a sweet day!

To Have And To Hold

A couple of my coworkers seem to have weddings in their future. I love this set and had to buy it when it hit the retiring list eventhough I didn't have any weddings or showers at the time! I'm glad I did though because it will now come in handy!
I also love the Bride, Groom, and Bridesmaid DSPs. I think they are so beautiful. I decided to play around with the papers and stamp to see what kind of look a hint of color would give the image. I'll probably make some more cards as the weddings get closer. I just learned of one's colors and think I should incorporate them into her card.
Anyway, have a great day! TFL :)

Out of this world birthday card!

A big thank you and shout out to my friend Michelle Arthur! She sent me some embossed, stamped images (she's the best!) from the Greetings, Earthling set. I love it. Those little aliens are so cute!
I made this as a birthday card for a friend that moved out of the area. She loves watching the SyFy (hate that they changed the logo of the SciFi channel.) Anyway, I think she'll get a kick out of this card.
I tried to make a little alien spaceship. I cut a circle out of a clear window sheet, then cut it in half. I cut out the ship, then punched out the landing legs from the window punch. I adhered the clear window with a silver brad, then decided to add brads across the little ship. I cut out the little alien and propped him up with dimensionals.
I hope you have an out of this world day/week! TFL :)

Individual Name Letters

Here are the letters individually. TFL!

What's in a Name?

I received my SU! order on Thursday and love the new Sending Love DSP. It is my new favorite! I was inspired by my sister's wall hanging post and decided to try one of my own. I'm happy with the results. It took two days, but was worth it.

I first rubbed the new scallop circle chipboard pieces with the Stampin' Spots in real red, chocolate chip, and pretty in pink (all colors from the DSP). I also used chipboard letters and inked them all up with chocolate chip. I let them dry over night.

Today, I used the circle cutter to cut circles of the DSP to fit inside the chipboard pieces. I adhered them with a glue stick. Then, one by one, I started to decorate each letter. I used the Big Shot for each piece! It made it so easy.

I attached each letter to that beautiful wide chocolate chip striped ribbon with the new epoxy brads - very easy! I made two ribbons for the top and bottom and viola!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

I think this will be a good blank card I can use for any occassion.

Faux Tile DDC

OK, here is the last of the DDC challenge cards I was able to complete! We were to use the faux tile technique. I don't really feel I captured that all too well, but I tried!

I love this year's SU! In Colors and wanted to see if I could use them all on a card - my own kind of challenge! So, I thought coloring an image would be the easiest way to accomplish that. :)

Thanks for looking and have an awesome day!

I made this card for the 12/8 DDC (Thank You card) challenge. I just absolutely love this Cottage Wall DSP and can't stop making the butterflies to match :) I had a lot of DSP scraps, so thought I would try to incorporate them into the card. TFL and have a great day!

Winter BDay With Polka Dots

Happy Monday! Here's another card that combines two DDC challenges: Winter Birthday (12/1) and Polka Dots (12/15).

I love this color, Bashful Blue. It just goes with everything! I was lucky to have this thin polka dot ribbon that matches perfectly!

I also love the Big Shot clear scallop square die. My sister taught me that it can be used to make a card and I love the size! She also told me that these cards fit the regular invitational envelopes, so can be mailed at the regular stamp price!

The tag on the image was blank. I found that the Cute Converse stamps fit perfectly on that tag! I had a hard time deciding between two of them!

Have a great day and week!

Stamps: Cute Converse (SU!), Christmas Pups (Inky Antics), and Hero Arts

Paper: Bashful Blue DSP and Whisper White (SU!)

Ink: Memento Black

Accessories: Ribbon, Copics, and Big Shot Die

Happy New Year!

Well, it's a new year and I have a new craft resolution! I resolve to do 1 Mojo Monday sketch challenge, 1 DDC challenge, 1 3D project, and 1 Christmas design per month :) Luckily, I had all day to craft, so I am well on my way of making sure I hit my target this month.

This first card satisfies the DDC 12/22 New Year's card challenge and the 12/29 I Rather Be...challenge. No, I'm not a lush, but I would rather be enjoying a nice glass of wine and relaxing than going to work, chores, etc :)

I used the piercing tool and needle to thread the silver cord between the two pieces. It was kind of a pain, but I like the effect.
Thanks for looking and I wish you a very Happy New Year!

Stamps: Girls Night Out (My Favorite Things) and Holiday Wishes (SU!)

Paper: DCWV Glitter, SU! Whisper White, Basic Black, and Brushed Silver

Ink: Memento Black
