Here was the March challenge (and yes, I realize I accidentally used the year 2011 when I meant 2012!):
First up is Debbie Naylor's card. I love that she made her turtle up-side down. How clever is that? I would never have thought of that. To find more inspiration from Debbie, please visit her blog here. I also like her color choices. I also didn't think about using dazzling diamonds on the turtle's back; another nice touch, Debbie! I love this card and I'm sure it put a smile on someone's face when they saw it. Thanks for joining us and hope you'll be joining us again next month!
Next up is my friend Regina, from Germany! She makes some amazing paper crafts. You have to visit her blog here to check out her paper projects! She's so gifted. She didn't have this set, so I stamped the set's images and sent them to her. I didn't know if she'd have time to join us, but sure enough, she did. Thank you so much, Regina! I love what you did. The googley eyes on the turtule and snail are so cute. You also colored each one so nicely and cut them out to boot! Wow, you put so much into this card and it shows. I truly love it.
The next card is by Michelle Arthur. I like the colors Michelle used - I can see this being a nice masculine card for a special occasion. Michelle did an excellent job of coloring in the images to match the colors in the DSP. I also like the banner-style sentiment on the top of the card. The outlined frame of the center image is a bonus touch! And of course, the flower in the bottom left is amazing! As usual, you've done it again Michelle! For more of Michelle's wonderful work, please visit her blog here.
And last up is me! Here is my card. Michelle and I seemed to have the same idea, but I didn't color in my images. Instead, I used my In Color markers to color the different images before I stamped them. I decided to use the In Colors since I really haven't used them much this year and am trying to embrace them as I have past ones. The Lucky Limeade worked perfectly with the turtle and frog images. I also liked that I could use my matching ribbons :) Oh, and one more item I was able to use was my matching brad! My sister (Debbie) gave them to me and I love them! I was so happy to get to use one. This set is such a cute and happy one. I think anyone at any age will love receiving a hand stamped card with it!
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!
