Strange as it sounds, today is National Earmuff Day! I think this day should be in a colder month, but okay!
I decided to celebrate the day by stamping this card. I love these little birds. Aren't they cute? I decided to give the earmuffs on the one bird a little dimension, so used some Bo Bunny pearlescent paint. I love this stuff! I also used it on the lower branch bird's hat. I added some pearls to the snowflake background paper as well.
Thanks for looking and hoping you aren't in a cold area where you are having to wear earmuffs today!

Plant A Flower Day!
Today is Plant A Flower Day. I'm sure ready to get out in the yard and plant some flowers, aren't you? First, I really need to clean up the flower beds and mulch, but I'll get there once I know Spring has really sprung!
I was looking at some old stamp sets and came across this one that I had to use. I love this set. It does create such lovely flower images :) I like the butterfly and words too. I found a corner punch I hardly use, so thought I'd add that touch. Yeah, looking at this card, I'm ready to plant some flowers! Join me :)
Thanks for looking and have a beautiful day!

Hauʻoli lā hānau - Happy Birthday, Lani!
Today is my friend's birthday. Since she's Hawaiian, I decided to make her a Hawaiian
birthday card. The one I made her I have sent, but it is similar to these. I love this little
Hawaiin girl. Isn't she cute? When I was in Maui, I bought some Hawaiin origami paper.
That's what I used for the background paper. I pulled colors from the paper to color in
my stamped image. I had some Hawaiian hibiscus flower embellishments, so added those
too. So, here's to Lani - hope you have a truly beautiful birthday!!!

Sale-A-Bration - Celebrate with us!
We are still celebrating SU's Sale-A-Bration. So, today, the Sisters In Stamping are featuring projects we've made using our SAB products.
Here is the card I made:
I love this hot air balloon paper (Carried Away Designer Series Paper). I have another stamp set that has hot air balloons, so I decided to just get the paper. But, I realized I could make my own hot air balloon! I mainly used my circle dies (Laying Circles Framelits), but also used my Decorative Label Punch for the basket. I love the metallic ribbon, so that is the other SAB product I used on this card. I popped up my hot air balloon with some dimensionals and added some rhinestones. Up, up and away!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Background Stamps
Today, the Sisters In Stamping are celebrating background stamps.
I don't have any current background stamps, so I thought I'd make up my own!
I love this new stamp set (Basket Bunch) and matching dies (Basket Builder Framelit Dies) from the SU! Occasions catalog. I decided to make a background of Easter eggs. I chose three of the eggs and inked them up and just started stamping. Then, I die cut the eggs and bunny that I stamped. It was very easy and I think the background looks cute. With is mild winter we are having, I think I'm ready for Spring!
Head on over to the Sisters In Stamping blog to check out what background stamps the other ladies used!

National Horse Protection Day and National Pig Day!
What a crazy day, huh? There are other things being celebrated today, but I thought I'd pick these two: National Horse Protection Day and National Pig Day
For National Horse Protection Day, I made this card:
I used a retired SU! set for this card. I also used a distressing tool to make the edges of the cardstock appear rough and rugged. I think the horse in this image is beautiful, with such a beautiful look in its eye. They sure are regal and beautiful animals and we do need to protect them!

For National Pig Day, I made this card. I had some cute pig paper and thought my pig stamp would look adorable on it. I think he does! The set it came from was for images you use buttons with. Love it! The button nose just makes this pig. I had another pig stamp with this sentiment; too perfect! Thanks for looking and have a great day!

National Floral Design Day
Today is National Floral Design Day! Since I am horrible at arranging flowers, I decided to join in with a card.
Here is mine:
Sorry the picture is blurry! It kind of plays with your eyes, doesn't it? I think the shadows and the doubling vines are hard to capture on camera.
Anyway, wishing you a beautiful, flower filled day! Thanks for looking!
