It's National Just Because Day! So, I decided to use my adorable Just Beakause stamp set! I love this set and haven't used it nearly as often as I'd like. So, this was the perfect reason to use it again :)
I colored in each stamp using my markers and then stamping the cardstock. I then used my Layering Circles dies to cut out each image. I used some paper from an old Designer Series Pack. They still looked like they needed something, so I added some colored pearl embellishments. Fun!
Have a great day today, just because! Thanks for looking :)

It's National Dog Day!
Happy National Dog Day to all of your dog and pet lovers! Give your dog an extra treat for me today :)
In honor of this day, the Sisters In Stamping are featuring dog projects. I decided to use my new Bella And Friends stamp set. I bought a nice center step die at the scrapbooking convention this year and decided to give it a try. I like it! It does make the measuring and scoring so easy - you only use a half of a piece of cardstock too! Anyway, here's the card I made this week:
I decided to use Dapper Denim cardstock and matching DSP, ribbon, and enamel shapes. I left Bella uncolored, but did color her collar and tag with my markers (Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler). I used the Layering Squares dies on the stamped image and framed piece.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

Happy Hawaiian Birthday!
I love this set that retired last year and I didn't even get to use it until now! But, I have several friends that love Hawaii just as much as I do or are from Hawaii and I know this card will make them smile on their special day (hope so!). So, I made two and used slightly different colored cardstock for each. One is Pool Party and Crumb Cake. The other uses Soft Sky and Sahara Sand. I tore the cardstock and layered it to make it look like sand. Then, I used my markers to color in the surf boards and then cut each one out. I stamped the seashells in both Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake and used the mini punches to punch them out. One of the seashells had to be cut out by hand as I didn't have a punch for it. The turtle is stamped on Wild Wasabi cardstock using Garden Green ink, then cut by hand. I bought the Hawaiian Happy Birthday stamp in Maui a couple years ago and stamped it using Memento Black Tuxedo ink on Crushed Curry cardstock. It took a long time to make these two cards, but I love them and hope my friends will too!
Mahalo for looking and have a great day!

Treat Box
There are many tools I use for my paper crafts, but one of the best and most used is my Big Shot. When it first came out, I didn't understand its potential! Thank you, Debbie W., for seeing the potential and knowing I wouldn't be able to live without it. It was one of the best Christmas gifts ever!!!!
Debbie Naylor, from the Sisters In Stamping group (and actually my real sister!), absolutely loves the Big Shot. I know it is her "go to" tool. That's why she picked it for today's SIS theme.
I decided to make a treat box using the Bakers Box Thinlit. I used the gold embossed polka dotted paper from the Pop of Pink Specialty DSP pack and the gold foil sheet for the die cut "yum" and bow (bow builder punch). It really does make it so easy and so quick to be able to run some paper through the Big Shot and assemble. I filled the box with Rolos to match the gold :) Yum!!!

Friendly Friday
Happy Friday!
Celebrate a friend this weekend! That's what we are about today at the SIS blog :)
Here's the very quick and simple card I made today:
I knew I wanted to use this new stamp from the Banners & Badges stamp set. I've been wanting to use my new In Color Enamel Shapes for a while and when I saw the stars on the stamp, my idea came together! I love it when that happens ;) I then used all 5 new In Colors and die cut stars. I randomly placed them over the cardstock and decided to add more of the enamel stars. I used dimensionals to give the stamped and punched image a little lift.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for looking!

Color challenge!
I love a good color challenge. Karla, from Sisters In Stamping came up with this beautiful color combo!
I started thinking that I needed to go more simple for this color challenge. So, this is what I created. I love it! I used the same DSP and just stamped directly onto it. I die cut the butterflies and the card was done! I started to put some pearl embellishments on the butterflies, but decided to stick to simple.
And another challenge done! Thanks for looking and head over to the Sisters In Stamping blog to check out what the talented SISers did for this challenge!
Have a wonderful weekend and stay cool!
I actually ended up making two cards for this challenge because I wasn't crazy about the first one I made.
This is the first card I made. I wanted to use my new In Color DSP and the Pretty Kitty stamp set. So, I stamped my image, colored it in, and then used my new Circle dies to cut out the image and DSP. I used some new In Color ribbon to "tie" it all together, but I don't love it.

This week's theme is ice cream and as soon as I saw the Playful Palette DSP stack, I thought of ice cream. I'm not sure why, but this one paper reminds me of a fun flavor with sprinkles on top!
