It's Sale-A-Bration time with Stampin' Up! I love this time of the year - place an order and get free stuff! I was so happy to get my order last week :) We had a huge snow storm, so the weekend was spent playing with my new goodies :)
I'm happy to be joining the Sisters-In-Stamping on some more weekly challenges! Today's challenge was to create something to celebrate Sale-A-Bration!
I knew as soon as I saw the Sky Is The Limit set that I had to have it. My FIL loves planes, especially older ones. So, I thought I'd use this set for my card this week.
Here it is:
I also knew I had to have the beautiful Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper. It's so beautiful in person. Both the paper and set are available for a limited time only, so get it before it's gone if you like them!
I stamped the airplane image and sentiment on some silver cardstock using black StazOn ink. I cut out the airplane. I ran the sentiment piece in the Banner Triple Punch and put three silver brads on it.
I ran the Crushed Curry DSP through the Big Shot using the new Sunburst Thinlet Die - isn't it awesome? I adhered the sunburst to a piece of Soft Sky DSP and used Dimensionals to pop up the plane and banner.
I'm sorry the sentiment is so hard to read. It was really hard not to get a reflection; the hardships of photographic shiny paper!
Anyway, I'm happy with the way my card turned out and I know my FIL will love it. I feel like the airplane is bursting out of the sky and sun's rays and shouting "Happy Birthday!"
Thanks so much for looking and please check out the cards the lovely ladies of Sisters In Stamping created!

Christmas Gift Card Holder
Who couldn't use a last minute gift card holder? I love gift cards - they make great gifts and I love to receive them :)
This week's Sisters In Stamping is the last challenge for the year and the last one I'll be guest designing for. I've had a wonderful time joining them these past 4 months. Thank you, Ladies!
Here is the gift card holder I designed.
This is the outside of the holder. I used a Sizzix die I have. I cut out the die using the Season of Cheer DSP. I especially like this particular paper. I love both sides, so it's hard to use! But, I decided to use the snowflakes since they are so pretty. I also used my Snow Flurry punch and punched out some snowflakes out of the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Paper - love that paper!
This is what the holder looks like on the inside. The gift card slides in the pocket on the left. I created a little area to write in the middle and stamped it using the stamps from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set in Soft Sky and Night of Navy inks.
Here's a closer look:
Well, that's it! Thanks so much for looking and I wish you all a safe and wonderful holiday season! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Small Gifts
Who doesn't like to give and receive a small gift during the holidays? I think it is great to have some on standby just to let others know you are thinking about them. That's why I was glad that this week's Sisters In Stamping project is "small gifts to give".
I had some Ball smooth jars that I bought from Target. They are the perfect size to place some chocolates in and decorate. Here is what I created:
I decorated the top by making a flower out of the Merry Moments DSP stack papers. They are so cute! I used a candy dot brad in the middle to hold them together. I placed some gold glitter ribbon around the lid and made a bow to match. I felt it needed a tag, so cut out the tag from the larger tags from the Baker's Box thinlits die set. The word "yum" out of the gold cardstock is also from the Baker's Box thinklits set.
I filled the jar with Hershey's kisses and feel it is ready to give!

Christmas Card
The Sisters In Stamping chose to create a Christmas card this week.
I was happy to use my new cardinal stamp from the Joyful Season stamp set. I couldn't get the inside stamp to align and look good with the outline stamp, so I decided to color my little guy in with my Cherry Cobbler marker instead. I colored the berries on the limb with the marker too.
I decided his eye needed to stand out. So, I used a black Sharpie marker and colored a Pearl jewel. After it dried, I placed it where his eye is and love how it looks. I thought the card needed more texture and since I could find a ribbon to use, I decided to break out my Crystal Effects (love this stuff!) and put some over each berry.
The Designer Series Paper I used is from the Season of Cheer pack. I used my favorite Deco Lable die and cut out the opening in the DSP. I probably should have popped up the DSP piece with dimensionals. Next time!

Black Friday!
I love the theme to this week's Sisters In Stamping project! In honor of Black Friday, we made projects featuring the color black.
When I think of Black Friday, I of course think of shopping! I couldn't resist making this cute little purse:
I used a Sizzix die I've had to create custom purses for customers. I love how this turned out.
First, I cut out the purse using the Winter Wonderland Specialty Design Series Paper and assembled it. Then, I pulled out my Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Paper. I could stare at this paper all day - I LOVE it! I put a couple drops of Memento Tuxedo Black reinker on a Stamping Sponge and dabbed over an area of the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Paper. I set it aside to dry.
After it dried (give it a a long time or you'll end up with very messy fingers!), I cut out the largest Deco Label die and punched out some snowflakes with my Snow Flurry punch. I then cut out a smaller Deco Label die and punched some more snowflakes on the regular Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Paper.
I adhered the Deco Label pieces together using my Tombow Liquid Glue and set aside to dry. I adhered the snowflake pieces with the Tombow too. While they were drying, I wrapped the White
Glitter Ribbon around the purse. Once they were dry, I popped up the snowflakes using a dimensional. I then punched a whole on the top of the label and ran the glitter ribbon through it so I could tie a bow. I put dimensionals on the back on the label piece to adhere to the flap of the purse.
It's hard to tell in the picture, but I put a regular Rhinestone in the middle of the snowflake. Funny that it looks dull and black in the picture, but in person, it sparkles with the rest of the project.
Since I love glittery things, I love how this turned out. Loved this theme! Check out what the Sisters In Stamping created here.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Christmas Ornament
This week's Sisters In Stamping project is to create a Christmas ornament.
I couldn't wait to use all of my new holiday catalog goodies!
I created this ornament using the Holiday Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, Red Foil Sheets, and Gold Foil Sheets. I cut out the papers using the Deco Labels Framlits. The word "Noel" is cut out from the Wreath framelit set. I also used my new gold glitter ribbon! The back is exactly the same as the front, so if it moves on the tree, you'll still see it from any angle! I can't wait to hang it this year.
Thanks so much for looking. Please check out what ornaments the Sisters In Stamping made!

Thanksgiving Favor
I am truly thankful to continue to be a guest designer for the Sisters In Stamping ladies for two more months.
This week the Sisters In Stamping decided on making Thanksgiving favors. I love this idea because you can turn them into place settings on the Thanksgiving table as well!
This is what I chose to make:
I used the new SU! square pillow box thinlit die to make this. It's very quick and easy to make, especially using the Into The Woods Designer Series Paper. I used the cut out the little leaves using a cute little thinlit that comes with the pillow box die. I decided the leaves didn't look good by themselves, so I cut out some acorns from the scrap paper. The beautiful sentiment is from the Six Saying Hostess set. I just love it - so beautiful!
