Happy Friday!
Celebrate a friend this weekend! That's what we are about today at the SIS blog :)
Here's the very quick and simple card I made today:
I knew I wanted to use this new stamp from the Banners & Badges stamp set. I've been wanting to use my new In Color Enamel Shapes for a while and when I saw the stars on the stamp, my idea came together! I love it when that happens ;) I then used all 5 new In Colors and die cut stars. I randomly placed them over the cardstock and decided to add more of the enamel stars. I used dimensionals to give the stamped and punched image a little lift.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for looking!

Color challenge!
I love a good color challenge. Karla, from Sisters In Stamping came up with this beautiful color combo!
I started thinking that I needed to go more simple for this color challenge. So, this is what I created. I love it! I used the same DSP and just stamped directly onto it. I die cut the butterflies and the card was done! I started to put some pearl embellishments on the butterflies, but decided to stick to simple.
And another challenge done! Thanks for looking and head over to the Sisters In Stamping blog to check out what the talented SISers did for this challenge!
Have a wonderful weekend and stay cool!
I actually ended up making two cards for this challenge because I wasn't crazy about the first one I made.
This is the first card I made. I wanted to use my new In Color DSP and the Pretty Kitty stamp set. So, I stamped my image, colored it in, and then used my new Circle dies to cut out the image and DSP. I used some new In Color ribbon to "tie" it all together, but I don't love it.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
This week's theme is ice cream and as soon as I saw the Playful Palette DSP stack, I thought of ice cream. I'm not sure why, but this one paper reminds me of a fun flavor with sprinkles on top!

Summertime Fun
What do I think of when I think of summer? Flowers! I'm not a fan of the heat and humidity of summer, but I do love the gorgeous colors of summer flowers, trees, and grass. Summer has finally hit our area and it's hot and humid! But, the grass is so green and the flowers are just gorgeous.
This week's Sisters In Stamping theme is summer.
I recently went to a scrapbooking convention and dies and water coloring are definitely this year's fad. I took a couple water coloring classes to try to improve my terrible hand at it. I think it helped a little. I'll just keep trying :)
So, I decided to combine water coloring and dies in this week's card.
First, I used my aqua painter and Soft Sky ink pad to create the washed out background (watercolor paper). I then die cut the Flourish thinlits and then water colored them with my aqua painter and inks. I assembled the card and added a colored pearl and some Crystal Effects to give the card a little more dimension. It does remind me of summer :)
Stamps: Thoughtful Banners
Inks: Pool Party, Soft Sky, Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, and Memento Tuxedo Black
Punches: Duet Banners
Dies: Flourish Thinlits
Cardstock: Watercolor Paper, Pool Party (Base)
Accessories: Pearls, Crystal Effects, and Dimensionals
Thanks for looking and wishing you a wonderful summer!
