Another Challenge Card - Thanks Kathy!

We have another crafter that joined our March challenge, Kathy Kennedy.  Look at this adorable card she made using the Turtle & Co. set.  I love that she used the adorable frog as the central image.  What a great card.  I'm sure it'll make someone very happy to receive this cute creation.
Kathy, thanks so much for joining our challenge.  Please join us again!

To everyone that dropped by - thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!

I'm feeling the love!

Wow, I've been awarded this blog award by three of my favorite bloggers!  On Friday, Beverly sent it, then yesterday morning, Michelle sent it and soon after my sister sent it!  So, to get from them is a HUGE honor to me.  Thank you Beverly, Michelle, and Debbie!!!!

Now I have a few things to do...
Pass on the award to five other people, who's blogs have inspired me. It also needs to be someone who has less than 200 followers.
  • Put a comment on their blog, so that they know about it.
  • Link back to the person who gave me the award and thank them.
  • Post the award on my blog.
Please be sure to visit the following bloggers.  They make some amazing cards and I'm certain you will enjoy taking the time to gaze at their creations.  Here are the outstanding stampers that I want to pass this award along to...

Since Beverly, Michelle, and Debbie all inspire me DAILY, I have to give it right back to them!
Beverly - Beestamper
Michelle - Designs Done Simple
Debbie - Unfrogettable
and two others that inspire me:
Regina - Creafamily
Tashana - Honeybee's Stamping

Thank you to all that blog and all those that support us bloggers :)  Have a wonderful day :)

March Challenge Post

It isn't quite the end of the month, but I have a lot going on next weekend, so decided to go ahead and post our challenge cards.  This month, we are honored to have two friends join us!  Thank you, Debbie and Regina!  Please join us any time!

Here was the March challenge (and yes, I realize I accidentally used the year 2011 when I meant 2012!):

First up is Debbie Naylor's card.  I love that she made her turtle up-side down.   How clever is that?  I would never have thought of that.  To find more inspiration from Debbie, please visit her blog here.  I also like her color choices.  I also didn't think about using dazzling diamonds on the turtle's back; another nice touch, Debbie!  I love this card and I'm sure it put a smile on someone's face when they saw it.  Thanks for joining us and hope you'll be joining us again next month!

Next up is my friend Regina, from Germany!  She makes some amazing paper crafts.  You have to visit her blog here to check out her paper projects!  She's so gifted.  She didn't have this set, so I stamped the set's images and sent them to her.  I didn't know if she'd have time to join us, but sure enough, she did.  Thank you so much, Regina!  I love what you did.  The googley eyes on the turtule and snail are so cute.  You also colored each one so nicely and cut them out to boot!  Wow, you put so much into this card and it shows.  I truly love it.

The next card is by Michelle Arthur.  I like the colors Michelle used - I can see this being a nice masculine card for a special occasion.  Michelle did an excellent job of coloring in the images to match the colors in the DSP.  I also like the banner-style sentiment on the top of the card.  The outlined frame of the center image is a bonus touch!  And of course, the flower in the bottom left is amazing!  As usual, you've done it again Michelle!  For more of Michelle's wonderful work, please visit her blog here.

And last up is me!  Here is my card.  Michelle and I seemed to have the same idea, but I didn't color in my images.  Instead, I used my In Color markers to color the different images before I stamped them.  I decided to use the In Colors since I really haven't used them much this year and am trying to embrace them as I have past ones.  The Lucky Limeade worked perfectly with the turtle and frog images.  I also liked that I could use my matching ribbons :)  Oh, and one more item I was able to use was my matching brad!  My sister (Debbie) gave them to me and I love them!  I was so happy to get to use one.  This set is such a cute and happy one.  I think anyone at any age will love receiving a hand stamped card with it!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

It's Birthday Season!

This month starts birthday season for me.  I have so many friends and family that have birthdays from March 8 through the beginning of May!  So, I'm trying to make cards for each and every one of them :)

I made this card for my aunt in Japan.  She loves birds and I think this card will put a smile on her face.  I used the sketch found here - great sketch that I will definitely use again!

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday, Valerie

Hope you are having a great day, Valerie!

I made this card using this sketch.  Valerie and her husband just took in two new puppies and has another dog, so I knew I had to do a doggie card :)  I love this partying dog - makes me smile :)  I was able to use my new Big Top Birthday DSP and Pendent Punch.  I love the happy colors and patterns - I think it just screams fun!  I colored in the image with my markers and then added the buttons for a little more punch and to match the sketch.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
